Raising a Family
Scottsdale was chosen as "Best city in the country to raise children" according to the online-identity services website MyLife.com. MyLife compared the country's 100 most-populous cities and determined the ranking using specific criteria: average family income, cost of living, crime rate, quality of public schools and the number of public parks per capita.
HistoryIn 1888, Winfield Scott purchased 640 acres where Old Town Scottsdale is now located for $3.50 ($92 in current dollars). I would say that was great real estate investment!!!
Scottsdale was officially incorporated as a town in 1951. At that time, the population was only about 2,000 residents. Today the population of Scottsdale is approximately 250,000 and has been growing by about 6,500 wonderful people every year since 2015.
